Hosta, June Hosta

June Hosta is a shade-loving herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its foliage.  The large veined basal leaves have distinctive chartreuse centers with thick deep blue-green margins.  The small bell-like pale lavender flowers raise up in terminals from the rootstalk above the mound in mid-summer attracting butterflies.  Best bloom in partial sun and moist well-drained soils.  June is resistant to slug damage.
