Bevan's Variety Bigroot Cranesbill is a low-mounding semi-evergreen herbaceous perennial with a spreading habit and aromatic grey-green deeply lobed foliage that turns red in fall.  Clusters of deep magenta flowers with dark red sepals bloom from late spring into summer and can experience sporadic blooms in summer.  Flowers best with afternoon shade in southern climates and dry to medium well-drained soils.
