New Jersey Tea is a compact rounded native shrub with young twigs that are noticeably yellow and broad toothed leaves with hairy grey undersides.  Cylindrical panicles of fragrant white flowers bloom on long stems in late spring into summer.  Best planted in dry to medium well-drained soils.  Extremely drought resistant.
